System of monitoring of the technical condition of buildings
Developer: Head Lab. IIS, Ph.D., Bryakin I.V.
Purpose of development.
Assessment of the technical condition of buildings, structures or engineering systems in order to predict the possibility of their further operation with a guaranteed level of safety.
A brief description of the development.
Currently, there is a significant increase in the scale of construction of objects with a unique design (high-rise and large-span buildings, sports facilities, bridges, dams, etc.), which in turn significantly actualizes the task of ensuring integrated safety of construction structures.
The main element in solving the problem of assessing the technical condition is monitoring the structural integrity and stress-deformed state of construction structures in the process of construction and operation, in order to timely detect defects and take measures to eliminate them, as well as monitoring the condition of soils and foundations.
The proposed system of continuous construction monitoring is a complex of software and hardware, consisting of sensors of object parameters, a distributed subsystem for collecting readings from sensors, a subsystem for processing telemetric information and a subsystem for developing control decisions. This monitoring system is based on the joint use of ZigBee and PLC technologies, is versatile and has wide possibilities for monitoring the stress-strain state and structural integrity of building structures.
The monitoring system is a wireless sensor network consisting of many wireless nodes distributed in space and several gateways (by number of floors), a PLC modem and a PLC server, as well as an information system based on a personal computer. The BU consists of a highly sensitive seismovibration sensor (three-component accelerometer), a control microprocessor unit, a radio transceiver and an autonomous power source (batteries). Each accelerometer, which is a receiver of microseismic oscillations in the three orthogonal planes X, Y and Z, is equipped with a microprocessor that produces an analog-to-digital transformation of the measured signal.
Universal monitoring system:
a - the object of monitoring; b - the structure of the monitoring system; c - the topology of the network in the building.
Wide use of the developed monitoring system will allow you to assign the most economical for the specified operating conditions parameters of structures, control their quality, ensure safety and prevent emergency situations.
Scope of development.
It is used as a monitoring system for monitoring the strength, stability and residual life of structures focused on three types of objects: civil and industrial buildings (single-storey and multi-storey buildings of various designs and materials); high-rise structures (towers, masts, industrial smoke and ventilation pipes) and buried structures (pile and reinforced concrete bases). It is focused on the study of both long high-rise objects with long periods of their own oscillations, and structures with a rigid structural scheme.
