Purpose and scope:

The process of separation of blocks is carried out in two known ways: - burocline and the method of directed cutting. When separating high-strength rocks, the burocline method is most widely used. Some material losses during the separation of blocks from the array and the quality of processing of lateral faces compared to the method of directed cutting are compensated by high productivity in the extraction of blocks in strong rocks.

The burocline method is provided by drilling a rectilinear string of boreholes with a given step between them and the subsequent destruction of the jumpers between the spurs.

Drilling is carried out by special line drilling machines, which have a number of design features that allow, depending on the strength of the rocks, to regulate the step between the spurs and ensure the straightness of the line for a given block length. In general, this determines the efficiency of the technological process and the total cost of extracting natural stone.
